Wildlife photographer, Tessa Anderson has to prove her brother is innocent of the murder charges against him. But when she discovers a half-dead, naked man on her beach who looks like a mythical Greek god, she’s got a whole world of new troubles to deal with, least of all how he affects her with just a look, a touch, a whispered word.
All Hunter Greymere remembers when the enticing female human rescues him is a he’s lupus garou. Whether he was pushed from the Oregon cliffs or fell is a mystery. Intending to keep a low profile at Tessa’s cabin on the coast, he’s drawn into her troubles while investigating the truth about his own past. But he finds that living with humans causes more problems than he ever believed possible. His animal instincts war with his human half–he wants the intriguing woman, who attracts male lupus garous like one of his own kind, but he knows he can’t have her for good–unless she becomes one of them.
Secrets abound in the quiet coastal community, but can Tessa and Hunter uncover the truths before it’s too late?

“Bring Your Cover Model to Work” Day
I saw this title posted for a group and thought, now how much fun would that be—bringing your cover model to work one day! For me, it would be fun!!! Romance authors would be delighted. Romance readers probably too.
But I’m afraid at the library, if my hunks came to life with their handsome bare chests, there’d be a lot of complaints, raised brows, “maybe” a few eews and ahhs. 😀
And if the guys turned into their other halves, the wolves… which are also featured on the cover—so both would have to appear—squeals and screams and trampling would shatter the sacred quietness of the library. 🙂
Not that our library is quiet.
When I brought up having the cover model come to our library, one of my co-workers said the ladies’ hands would be testing all the guy’s muscles! Now, that’s the kind of response that I liked hearing! My other co-worker that was there when I talked about it, wouldn’t respond. I think there was a very small smile on her face.
I think my co-workers are getting used to me. They can expect just about anything.
But my werewolf guys aren’t just a bunch of hunky guys strutting their wares—and what wares those are! They aren’t just handsome covers with little behind the brawn.
In To Tempt the Wolf, Hunter Greymere, is attracted to Tessa Anderson like he’s never been with a woman, yet his honorable side won’t allow him to take the relationship further (though she’s willing) until he’s sure that he doesn’t already have a mate. And no one can be any more protective of her than he can. Whether it’s facing down a man with a gun, or another wolf in his wolf form, or several at a time…Hunter has no intention of letting any harm come to Tessa. The longer he’s with her, the more he wants her—but there’s a big problem. She’s not a werewolf, and he can’t tell her what he truly is. So what can he do, but love her and leave her?
That’s what I think is important in a man—he can’t be just a pretty face, or, ahem, body, but someone who really cares. And he can’t care only about the woman he’s falling for, but about others who end up needing his protection. That’s Hunter, a man who is used to getting his way, but through hard work and determination, who takes care of his own, and others. Who can be a little arrogant, a little lost, a little injured, but no matter what, he’s there for those who need him. Despite the macho side of him, and all that hot wolfish sexiness, deep down he needs a woman, his pack, his family to make him whole. But he’s also got the fortitude to set his needs aside when the only alternative is to make Tessa one of his own kind, which goes against every honorable notion he’s ever had.
Wonder how well one of my cover models would have been received at the writing workshop I gave in Toronto to romance writers? I bet nobody would have paid a lick of attention to me… EVERYBODY would have wanted pictures with the cover artist! And maybe, had a chance to feel up those muscles. You know, for research… The things we authors must do in the name of research!
So take a peek at my werewolf covers at: http://www.terryspear.com/werewolf_series.html
And tell me, of all the hunks and their wolves, which would you want to see in person? Or maybe, have the whole bunch of them show up? Now wouldn’t that be fun?

Thank you for visiting, Ms Spear!
To find more about the Werewolf books, visit Ms Spear’s website. And do not forget to comment here, the fine folks at Sourcebooks are giving away a copy each of Heart of the Wolf and To Tempt a Wolf (books 1 and 3 in the series) to one lucky winner.
Thanks so much, Aztec Lady, for hosting me today!!!
I hope everyone is having a super day and I look forward to hearing how my cover models would impact on your work today if they made an appearance! Hmm, I can just imagine if your workplace is at home as a busy writer, and like a genii from the bottle, just suddenly, poof, one of my cover models appeared! 🙂 Would you get lots of writing done? Or just great ideas for when you had a moment to breathe? Hmmm….
How about the whole bunch, that would be great.
Ohh I like the whole bunch but I think my favorite cover if I had to pick would be Leidoff’s cover. Something about that one jumps out at me and makes go wait a minute and look closer.
The post is great. Since I don’t work though would it be okay if I just bring him home?
hugs,
WendyK
Any eye candy is good eye candy. So I’ll take ’em singly or in a group. Unless that makes me look too greedy.
I have to agree with the others, the whole bunch can show up here, the more the merrier..lol.
I would get nothing done if one of the cover models popped into my house. If there was a group…well, I might just swoon. Gets me all flustered just thinking about it!!!
Darien is looking pretty smokin’ HAWT. I’ll take one of him, to go, please!!
I can’t wait to start reading this series.
Thanks!
Hmmm the whole bunch… then depending on my mood, I would pick and choose which to drool over! 😉
I’m with the majority. Bring on the whole bunch. We can all drool over them.
I am choosing the whole bunch show up. Not sure if my heart could take it though but what a way to go. 🙂 Thanks for guestblogging.
I like the whole bunch as well but I do love the scenery on books 2 and 3. 🙂
I’ve been dying to read these books in a long time but I’ve never had the chance to do so.
Hey, the whole bunch of them showing up wouldn’t bother me any….wouldn’t want to be mean and hurt any one of their feelings you know….;)
Great post!! 🙂
we cant meet and greet them all? yikes, I dont think I could pick just one . . . haha
Oh, I would definitely go for having the whole bunch show up. How could having more yummy men around be a bad thing?
I don’t know if I could handle a whole bunch, but I’d like to try.
Ack, my comments at lunchtime never appeared. *sigh*…now what brilliant things did I tell everyone???
Linda, that sounds like a terrific idea. 🙂
Wendy, thanks, I asked them to make him more ripped. LOL They did a super job. Hmm, so you want him to stay at home with you… 🙂 I’m sure he’d be willing! 🙂
Joder, lol, never too greedy when we want a lot of a good thing!! 🙂
Elaing, sounds good to me too! 🙂 One might be a little overwhelmed.
LOL, Amy, I agree. I wouldn’t get anything done, on writing or otherwise. 🙂
Melissa, yes, Darien’s pretty hot on the cover and between the sheets, I mean, pages. 🙂
Thanks so much, Tracey! Enjoy!!!
Colleen, I love your idea…him one for each day of the week, Plight of the Wolf cover coming soon, but that means one day of rest, OR, one has to pull double duty. 🙂
Armenia…I think Wendy might have stolen one of them and taken him home with her… 🙂
Cherie, I so agree….what a way to go indeed, with a smile on our faces, right?
Sharon, thanks! I do too. For Oregon in the spring, I wanted all that greenery. I love greenery! 🙂
Jeanette, never put off ’til tomorrow, lol! Hope you give them a chance soon! 🙂
LOL, Chelsea, I love your attitude. Yeah, we wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings! 🙂 So we’ll just make it a blanket party, I mean, blanket invitation. 🙂
Becky, yeah, I think it would be cruel–for us!
Karin, I agree!!!
LOL, Mitzi! We can only suffer to try, right??? 🙂
Okay, hope this posts this time. *sigh*….ready to crash tonight to work on Plight of the Wolf some more! 🙂
I think everyone is going with the same thing. The whole bunch.
I’ll go with everyone else too. The more, the merrier. 🙂
Kimmy, are we going to party or what??? 🙂
Hey, Karen, I so agree–great mind’s think alike! 🙂
Hi Terry! LOL, I can imagine bringing mine to work and how the HS students would reply, LOL. I know I’d say them both! There’s something tho about DESTINY OF THE WOLF and that chest! My hubby has a joke going with me since I’ve asked him to pick up books for me. A couple months ago when I had asked him to pick up a book reserved for me, he texted me and said ‘oh you making me stand in line here with a nekkid guy on the cover with no head! I will not to this again’ ROFL. I make sure each that each I send him for are like this, LOL
Your husband is hilarious and what a jewel, Cathie!!! You definitely made my night!!! Too funny about your HS students. The girls would appreciate it, I’m sure. LOL… Maybe not the principal!
My son, who is off to navigator training soon (love those flight suits) said that he was close to looking like Devlyn on the cover of Heart of the Wolf, but when Darien’s cover came out? No, not quite there. LOL But I do have a co-worker who says he’s working on his abs for the next cover! 🙂 So you never know what a guy’s going to say! 🙂
Hey, Why don’t you just bring them ALL to my library???? I sure wouldn’t mind!
LOL, Martha!!! Only if I get to come with them! 🙂
I say bring the whole bunch, Terry, liven things up a lot!
Great post. I would love the chance to win.
The whole bunch will be too much for me to handle, I’ll take Darien, thank you.
I like Seduced by the Wolf the best. The bright green with the forrest in the background. The cute look on the wolf.
The guy’s ABS look fantastic on all the covers!
Pam, sounds great to me!! I have to say that my son told me I need to write more about how the guys get in such great shape because it just doesn’t happen without working out. LOL 🙂
Thanks, Donna!
Etirv–lol! You mean you wouldn’t share??? 🙂 Darien’s pretty hot! 🙂
Thanks, Laurie!!! I love it too! I asked for a red wolf on that one because Leidolf is a red wolf…got to have the right kind of wolf!!! Yeah, all nice abs, for sure!
I can’t wait to see what the new cover looks like for the fall release for next year! 🙂
Hi Terry,
I would love to read this book since I’ve heard great things about them. I love reading books about werewolves!
I would love to see either a single or group of wolves, I’m not picky!
Hi Terry,
This book sounds wonderful!! For some reason, I don’t think there will be much work getting done if we took any of the hunks and their wolves to work, but you know, sometimes work really is overrated 😉
Best wishes!
Terri, thanks!! Hope you read them! Glad you’re not picky! I am about some things, but about werewolves like these…not at all!
Eshani, too funny! I sure could have used the diversion earlier today!!! You would NOT believe what we have to deal with at a library some days. I wonder if the full moon is out???
I’ve been hearing alot about this one, sounds good!
Thanks, Teresa!
Well once someone said the whole bunch, who am I to differ – I think that’s a great idea – thanks.
Hmm, I wonder how the real wolves will take to a catslady??? Cats and dogs…which I need to address in Book 6–Carol had a cat, before she was changed! 🙂
