He led her astray, and she never wanted to go back…
Sheltered all her life, Eliza Hunter never imagined herself alone in the vast Utah plains, much less trailing a mysterious, rugged man hired to hunt down her beautiful younger sister. Unable to reveal the truth about her pursuit of him, Eliza plays student to his teacher, transforming herself in the process. And when she finds herself sharing the warmth of Grady’s campfire, wrapped in his arms, hypnotized by his power, soon she is a naïve spinster no more…
Grady Wolfe is more than a loner, he’s a man forever on the run. With a body and soul finely honed from living off the land, Grady knows he should leave the irresistible woman alone, but she stirs something in him he hasn’t felt before. Now he’s lost in the woods for the first time in his life—with a dangerous job to do. And no one—not even the luscious Eliza—is going to stop him…

Is it Beth or Emma? Or both?
I’ve been asked by many different folks about why I am now being published as Emma Lang instead of Beth Williamson. Here’s the scoop.
I am still publishing as Beth, but now I have another pen name, Emma Lang. She’s a bit sweeter than me, and pink is her favorite color (mine is purple). Er, I guess I do sound like I’ve invented an invisible friend, don’t I?
Well, she’s not invisible (since she’s wearing my 38DD bras) and she’s very real. I am she and she is me. How is that possible?
The stories I write come from my heart and that is the same organ driving both Beth and Emma’s books. I share a piece of myself, the inner workings of my mind along with my tears and laughter.
If you see a book by Emma Lang, it is Beth’s, and vice versa. Pen names can be driven by the market, by the publisher, or sometimes by the genre. In my case, it was driven by the market and the publisher. Stepping out into the world with my “first” book as Emma is a fresh start for a new group of readers.
And guess what? Those readers who pick up RUTHLESS HEART will go to Emma’s site and find out she’s also Beth. They may pick up a backlist book or two, which would be fantastical of course, or may stick with only Emma’s books.
Either way it’s all good. Why? Because I’ve shared my story with someone and that ladies and gents, is why I write. Without readers, there are no writers.
I am she and she is me. Everyone, meet Emma.
One random poster will receive a $15 gift card to Amazon. Winner will be announced Sunday.
Thanks for hosting me today, Fatin. As always, you are a doll. 😀
And me too. *tee hee*
Cool, I read a book once, only to discover it was a penname and that she had written another book I had read too. More to find for me 😀
So Emma likes pink, well I am new to the both of ya, or one of ya, nah now I am just confusing myself, lol
Hi, Emma! Glad to know you’re “in the pink”. How exciting–your gorgeous debut book–“Ruthless Heart”! No matter what name you use as a writer, you’ll still be the same great romantic storyteller! I wish you much success : )
Emma…it’s a pleasure to me you…I look forward to reading your work 🙂
Blodeuedd ~ Tee hee. It’s nice to meet you. 🙂
Virginia C ~ Thank you so much!
karenk ~ Pleased to meetcha!
Hi Emma?Beth!
Love the post. It’s so interesting that you’ve used a pen name and for publishing reasons. I bet readers will gobble up your books by both names!
hugs,
billi jean
I always find the differences between a writer’s pen-names interesting. I’ll definitely check out your books!
I have read and enjoyed Beth’s books and I think it’s great that you have a different type of story out.
Pen names are cool. I wish I could have an alias. I have read Beth’s titles and they are fab! Emma sounds like a great writer, too. 🙂
I can’t wait to read an Emma book. I have my Beth books which I love and now I get to enjoy Emma. So fantastic.
Congratulations on the new release.
Jacqueline C ~ Thank ya kindly. 🙂
Maureen ~ Cool beans! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my books! Woo!
Scorpio ~ Fab? Awesome, thanks so much girl!
Brae ~ Ah, sweets, you’re wonderful! Thanks!
Congrads on your new release. Your book sounds really good. Love the cover.
Congrats on your new release! The story sounds intriguing. Pen names facinate me. I loved an author by the name of Tina St. John who wrote medieval romances. Then she disappeared…later I found out Tina is also Lara Adrian, an amazing paranormal romance writer. Cool!!
Hi Emma. Congratulations on your new release. Sounds great. I love the cover.
Congrats on the new book. I enjoyed your post. Thanks for visiting.
I’m always looking for new authors to read, sounds good!
Oh wow a cowboy! I love the cover of this book, but then again I do love me some cowboys! I know authors write under different pen names but just didn’t know why! Sometimes it hard to keep up with them but I will remember this one!
I love when I find out that an author I enjoy reading has another pen name!!! Love the cover and it sounds wonderful! 😀
Hi Emma 😉 Congrats on your new release. Ruthless Heart sounds really good.
Congrats on your new release and your new identity Emma! Ruthless Heart sounds like a fantastic story, I’ve always loved Western romances.
So are you saying that the Emma books are sweeter than your Beth books? Meaning maybe not as erotic? Or something? Just wondering.
Sounds like a good book. And congrats on the pen name.
hugs,
WendyK
Thank ya kindly everybody. Lots of folks coming by to visit! Woot!
WendyK ~ Emma’s books are Brava level heat – so highly sensual but not erotic.
Beth continues to write whatever blows up her skirt. *snicker*
I think that is cool.
Congrats on your new release! It sounds great!
I tend to haunt author’s no matter their pen name, so big congrats to Emma and Beth. A great way to draw in some new fans.

Happy Release Day, Emma/Beth. Can’t wait to read “Ruthless Heart.”
I love Beth’s books and am looking forward to reading Emma’s.
Hi Emma. Congratulations on your new release. Ruthless Heart sounds like a great read!
Hi, Emma. Its very nice to meet you 🙂
Nice to meet you Emma. 🙂 Your new book sounds excellent, and I wish you luck with it and with the new name!
Congrats on the new book! I’ve got it on the to buy list! It looks awesome, I love westerns..(my husband will probably read it too!)
Emma! Beth!! Great to see you both 😉 As others have said, I tend to pick up an author’s books no matter what name she’s writing under. I’m excited about your new release regardless!
Congrats on the new pen name! I have no problem with the use of a pseudonym, but I do like it to be out in the open. It gives me a choice to follow the author if I want.
LOL Just keep thinking of some line in this movie w/a title I can’t remember: “I am she and she is me.” With all the characters “living” in a writer’s head, it makes perfect sense for different author to have her/his own personality…or I could be ready for the funny farm. Either way, sure makes it difficult to become lonely. 🙂 Congratulations Emma & Beth.
Thank you so much everybody! What a great group of folks to swing by and help me celebrate my debut book. 🙂
Once I find an author I like I will try out their different genres or styles with the same or different pen names. For example: I’ve read all of Jayne Anne Krenz’s contemps , her historicals as Amanda Quick and her Sci-fi’s as Jayne Castle.
I will definitely check out your hot, western “Ruthless Heart”. I’d love to find out what happens to Grady and Eliza as they search for her sister.
OOPS!

Hi Beth/Emma,
Congratulations on the new book. Sounds good. I noticed in After Midnight News that you will be in Durham, NC signing books. Hopefully, I’ll have a chance to get out there to meet you.
Emma wears pink and Beth wear purple….Hehehe. That’s great and I’m looking forward to Emma’s new novel!!! Have a great time on your trip to Florida!!!

Hi Emma – Beth , or is it Beth – Emma.
It doesn’t matter, what’s in a name right?! Your book seems sweet so I would love to read it.
Best, Kirsten
Hi Beth!! Hi Emma! Hi …Oh that’s another story! Smile. Yeah its finally here! I’ve been so awaiting for this book to come out! Don’t even stop writing the cowboys! I know I can go to you when I want to read a cowboy romance story with the sizzle! Love them! I would have checked the books out if I didn’t know it was you cuz I too love to read new to me authors too! So I hope those who didn’t know or haven’t read you before, check out your Beth books too! Congrats!
Congrats on the new release! Sounds great!
Karen H – Yes, ma’am, I’ll be there at the B&N at Streets of Southpoint July 24 at 2 pm. Be there or be square! 🙂
Kirsten – Tee hee, what is in a name? Shakespeare proved that didn’t he?
Emmanuelle – Thank ya kindly ma’am. *tips hat*
Laurie G – I do the same thing! Funny how a pen name works!
Mitzi – Thank you doll!
Caffey – You are so sweet. *hugs* Thank you!
I definitely want to know all the names and genres my favorites authors publish under. A favorite author can make me try genres I would have never tried in a million years. Sometimes this information is on their website and sometimes not so I don’t know if it’s some kinda legal thing or not. Congrats on the new release!!
Wow – That books sounds great and take a look at that cover.
congrats on the book and great cover
the name sounds great
Congrats on the new release! It sounds great! I have enjoyed reading books you have written under your other pen name so I am sure I will enjoy this one as well.
Hello, Emma, and congrats on your book.

Count me in for the drawing if not too late.
Hope everyone is having fun in the sun.
Hi Emma, kudos on the new book! I want to be led astray 😉
