When Kathleen Ryder mysteriously re-enters his life, the achingly sweet hunger that bound them together in the past returns as well. A powerful new love story featuring a Native American hero, touches of mysticism and suspense, and heartrending romance.

Unable to free herself from her husband’s obsession, beautiful Amanda Potter retreats into her own dream world where a comforting lover adores her. But Jefferson Dupree, a man searching for the woman he knows is his destiny, is determined to create for Amanda a reality more fulfilling than any dream.

Elijah Moon, his sons, his beautiful daughter Gracie and their families are trying to dwell simply in this modern world. Living off the land in rural Kentucky, they adhere closely to the words of the Bible. But there is more going on at their compound than either Elijah or Gracie realises. In fact, a man has been killed for knowing too much. When the victim’s twin, Jake Baretta, arrives at the compound to search for his twin’s killer, he struggles to keep his heart and attraction to Gracie to himself, and his mind on the job. Everyone knows the first rule of undercover work: Never fall in love with enemy.

Jackson Rule had spent nearly half his life behind bars for murder. Now he was starting over-or trying to. Once he laid hungry eyes on his new employer, though, his resolve to lead a simple, solitary life deserted him, replaced by yearnings for fierce, forbidden passion.

Preacher’s daughter Rebecca Hill was raised to give folks the benefit of the doubt–though maybe this time she’d taken charity a bit too far. True, Jackson Rule had paid his debt to society, and was a hard, honest worker. What threatened to undo her was the sheer burning desire she felt in his presence, and the sinking feeling that her heart would be his captive forever.

Love and Shadows Rugged and strong, Chance McCall was an awakening, a mystery, a dream — and Jennifer Ann Tyler loved him from the moment he hired on at the Triple T Ranch. Through the passing years he has always kept his distance, afraid that his checkered history and uncertain future destroyed any chance for happiness with the boss’s beautiful daughter. Now a tragic accident has robbed Chance of his memory — and he must leave the ranch to retrieve his lost past. But Jenny knows her heart will never be full if she lets the only man she has ever wanted vanish from her life. And until he can find himself, Jenny will follow Chance McCall anywhere.

Samantha Carlyle knows someone is watching her—someone who wants her dead. So she runs to the safety of her tiny Texas hometown, and to the sweet, haunting memories of John Thomas Knight. A dedicated small-town sheriff as tender as he is tough, John Thomas was Samantha’s best friend, her first love—and now he is her only chance. Fate has carried them down different roads, but the fire has never died—and the passion flares white-hot the moment their eyes meet again. But this time Samantha must trust the proud, strong, devastatingly handsome lawman with more than her heart—she must trust him with her life. Because there is another man who wants her, and he’s waiting for the right time to strike. And the next sweet, sensuous kiss she and John Thomas share could well be Samantha’s last.

($2.99 but a definite tearjerker so keep tissues at hand when reading it!)

It was the kind of encounter Billie had seen only in the movies, and never dreamed could happen to her. A rugged, sexy cowboy appeared from out of nowhere to stir her passions — and then, just as quickly, he was gone. For one brief moment in time the wall Billie had built around her heart tumbled, though she believed their fiery passion would forever be no more than a bittersweet memory.

But fate leads her to a sprawling Texas ranch, and he is there again — Matt, her handsome, mysterious stranger, the best thing that had ever happened to her. And now a voice inside her is telling her to run fast and far away. But Matt let Billie go once he’s not going to make the same mistake again — because nothing on earth will stop him from grabbing a second chance at love.

Love Hurts

Leaving her hometown of Mirage, Texas, is the hardest decision Rachel Austin has ever made. But after losing her parents, and then her family’s home, staying would be too painful. Love Heals

Alone in New York City with little more than her breathtaking half-Cherokee beauty, Rachel gets the break of a lifetime. Rocketing to the top of the modeling world, she soon has money and fame beyond her wildest dreams. Life seems perfect until she discovers that all the attention cannot erase her lonely longing. Not until she comes close to losing everything can Rachel see what truly matters and the one thing, the only thing, she really needs. . . .

thebestkindoftrouble-250x375She has complete control…and he’s determined to take it away.

A librarian in the small town of Hood River, Natalie Clayton’s world is very nearly perfect. After a turbulent childhood and her once-wild ways, life is now under control. But trouble has a way of turning up unexpectedly—especially in the tall, charismatically sexy form of Paddy Hurley….

And Paddy is the kind of trouble that Natalie has a taste for.

Even after years of the rock and roll lifestyle, Paddy never forgot the two wickedly hot weeks he once shared with Natalie. Now he wants more…even if it means tempting Natalie and her iron-grip control. But there’s a fine line between well-behaved and misbehaved—and the only compromise is between the sheets!

All About the Chase

I love a good wooing. Wooing is the foundation of all four Chase Brothers books. A hero in hot pursuit is sexy, determined and sweet.

In The Best Kind of Trouble, Paddy Hurley is having a cup of coffee in a local coffeshop in town when he bumps into someone from his past. A gorgeous blonde he’d spent two hot weeks with years before, right before they finally got the break that made his band, Sweet Hollow Ranch, into superstars.

And there she is, years later and he can’t stop thinking about her. Even as she tries—and fails—to keep him out of her life. Paddy is successful because he works tirelessly to get what he wants.

And what he wants is Natalie.

Both of them have hurts and issues that cause them hurt and a misstep here and there. But happy endings take work and in the end working is what Natalie and Paddy do.

I hope you all love Paddy and his relentless charm and Natalie’s vulnerable hesitation in this one 🙂

As a romance reader, I love books in a series. I have to admit, I especially enjoy when I discover a new (to me) author and can binge-read several series books in a row. It’s not great for the laundry or dust bunnies but is so much fun. Of course, it’s also a huge rush when a new book in a well-loved series that I’ve pre-ordered arrives.

As a writer, creating a new series is one of my favorite things. There’s so much potential to create characters, relationships, the town and the people who inhabit it. Sometimes when I’m working on one book, characters for the next one pop on the scene and I get to figure out who need the next story.

My latest release, A KISS ON CRIMSON RANCH, is the first book in a new series set in the fictional town of Crimson, Colorado outside of the real-life mountain town Aspen. I’m a born and raised Midwestern girl, but I’ve lived in Colorado for over twenty years. There are so many things I love about the mountains and the west. It’s been a great joy to add so many of my favorite Colorado details into the Crimson stories. There are three more coming in 2015 and I hope readers enjoy this town as much as I do!

The Return of the Rebel The guy from the wrong side of the tracks…

Being promoted should be a dream come true, only it means working closely with Cleo’s childhood crush, Jax Monroe. Jax may no longer be the rebel she remembers, but he still gets her heart racing like no other.

Jax cares too much about Cleo to let her get too close—but keeping his distance is proving impossible! As Jax reveals the extent of what he’s been through, will Cleo show him that some things are too precious to put off until tomorrow?

The Return of the Rebel - UK-2EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:

The fact that Cleo felt comfortable enough to open up to him warmed a spot in Jax’s chest. But he couldn’t let himself read too much into it. She was probably lonely being so far from her family. And it wouldn’t do either of them any good if he tried to fill that empty spot. It’d only make it that much harder to walk away.

“You know, I can be on my own today. I don’t want to take up all of your time. I’m sure by now you have other guests to look after.”

“Actually you’re my one and only guest. Mr. Burns has me on a very short leash.” Cleo’s cherry-red lips lifted and her eyes sparkled. “So name your pleasure and I’ll make sure it’s provided.”

The sweet lilt of her voice and the sight of her tempting lips sent his mind spiraling back in time. He clearly remembered the one and only kiss they’d shared. He hadn’t even seen it coming and it was over before he could react. The strange thing was that after all of these years, he had never forgotten that innocent moment. He’d been kissed countless times since then and by experienced women who knew how to turn a kiss into an adventure. So why had the memory of those other kisses faded while hers stood the test of time?

Every detail of that moment stood out in his mind. He recalled how the morning sun peeked over Cleo’s shoulder. The golden rays made her hair glisten, giving it the illusion of a halo. Her cheeks were rosy with color and her eyes sparkled like fresh-cut emeralds.

He’d been so mesmerized by the stunning image that he hadn’t expected her to lift up on her tiptoes. Her gaze met and held his as she leaned forward. Her puckered lips pressed to his mouth. In the next heartbeat, she pulled away. And then, as if horrified, her eyes grew round. She’d pressed a hand to her mouth and run off.

Last year, my family suffered two big losses – my sister-in-law lost her battle to cancer, and our 15-year old Lab’s body finally gave out.  We had been prepping for grief in both cases.  We’d been told by friends that they found comfort in associating “found” dimes and pennies with lost loved ones.

Immediately after each loss I noticed two things – dimes and pennies were everywhere.  On my morning jogs.  In the parking lot where I was running errands.  Once at the foot of my bed.  My husband, who collects wheat pennies, also started finding coins.  He was thinking about his sister as he drove through Taco Bell.  One of the coins he received in change was a wheat penny.  And then a few months later, when the grief wasn’t so sharp, the coins tapered off.

I was driving to the airport and thinking about my sister-in-law and how I hadn’t “heard from her” via coin in some time.  When I landed in Denver, I saw a penny on the carpet.  I picked it up (part of the healing process is you pick up the coin) and thanked Carrie in my mind, then told her if she would have left a dime in the airport bathroom I wouldn’t have picked it up.  When I landed in SFO a few days later, I stopped at the restroom and wouldn’t you know it? I found a dime at the base of a toilet. Much as I love Carrie, I didn’t pick it up.

Coins have a prominent role in my latest book, Summer Kisses.  Two widows from different generations find solace in their dimes and pennies.  And as with Carrie, there is humor in healing and the story of the coins.  It’s not by any means a religious story, but there’s a little bit of Carrie there that brought me joy in the writing and, I hope, warms readers’ hearts as well.

Rebecca MacKenzie’s career as a caregiver for the elderly suited her perfectly. Ease their suffering, hop back in the motor home and move on. Caring without commitment. It was ideal for someone trying to outrun her memories…and mistakes. Someone determined to stay detached. Flynn Harris, her new patient’s grandson, is weakening her resolve in every way. His scrutiny, his suspicion—and worst of all, his kisses—are more than distracting. They’re dangerous. Because she’s teetering on the edge of caring. And revealing her secrets. And…staying.

The truth pressed at Becca’s throat.

She swallowed it back.

Took a breath.

Risked looking toward Flynn.

Beneath his black ball cap, his reddish-brown hair glinted in the afternoon sunlight, almost as blinding as the rippling river. His jaw was a hard line. She couldn’t look him in the eye.

The truth pressed on her once more.

Becca swallowed it again.

She and the truth had an odd track record. Like the time her father walked out after learning Becca’s mother had Stage Four cancer. Or the first time Terry asked her to marry him. He’d walked out when she said she was scared and needed time to think.

“You have two choices if you want the job.” Flynn’s voice was as unflappable as his jaw line. “You can tell me what you’re hiding, or I can do a background check.”

Tell him the truth? Which version? No one ever really wanted to hear the unvarnished truth. They wanted a massaged answer tailored to their expectations. Telling Flynn about the lawsuit placed her odds of landing the job near zero. But it was a definite zero if she walked away without saying anything.

“I want this job.” She swallowed and rephrased. “I need this job.” To repair her reputation before it fell from somewhere near barely employable to no-way-in-Hades employable.

Sleigh Bells Cover3Once upon a time, Christmas was Kayla Green’s favorite time of year. Now all the workaholic wants for Christmas is for it to be over—as fast as possible! So when duty calls her to snowy Vermont to close a deal with a new client, Kayla is grateful for an excuse to avoid the holidays for another year.

Jackson O’Neil left a thriving business behind to return home and salvage his family’s resort—it’s in his blood, and he can’t let it fail. Now that he’s got marketing whiz Kayla Green working with him to put Snow Crystal on the map, success is on the horizon. The fact they strike enough sparks off each other to power all the Christmas lights in Vermont is just an added bonus.

Kayla might be an expert at her job, but she’s out of her depth with Jackson—he makes her crave the happy-ever-after she once dreamed of, and it’s terrifying. As the snowflakes continue to swirl, will the woman who doesn’t believe in the magic of Christmas finally fall under its spell?

Thanks so much for having me here today!

I love ‘fish out of water stories’, where characters who are completely confident in their own world and surroundings are suddenly transplanted somewhere else.

I love watching characters struggle, grow and ultimately change as they face new challenges.

Kayla, the heroine of my first full-length contemporary romance, Sleigh Bells in the Snow, is a city girl. She’s a public relations expert working for one of the fastest growing firms in Manhattan and her best friend is her phone. Christmas is her least favorite time of year so when sexy businessman Jackson O’Neil invites her to spend the holidays at Snow Crystal Resort in Vermont to advise on a new marketing strategy for his ailing family business, she immediately agrees.  A log cabin in a snowy forest should provide the perfect sanctuary for a Santa-hating workaholic.

But the only experience Kayla has had with snow is to kick it off her boots and brush it off her coat. She likes ice in her margarita, but suddenly it’s under her feet and she’s spending too much time flat on her back. But it isn’t just the environment that challenges Kayla, it’s the whole O’Neil family and, specifically, hot, sexy Jackson O’Neil.

She is used to working out of her sleek New York office, but at Snow Crystal meetings are held in the kitchen and the whole family are there – Grandpa, Grandma, Jackson’s brother and even the dog. It’s mayhem and it totally throws Kayla.

I loved exploring the relationship between the characters, not just the developing love story between Kayla and Jackson, but also the dynamic between the three O’Neil brothers and the rest of the family, like this scene where she turns up for the first meeting and is overwhelmed by the O’Neils.

She walked into the house and stopped in surprise as she took in the details of the room and saw the number of people crowded around the large table.

“Oh, I—this is—” She turned to look at Jackson, confused. “This is the kitchen.”

“That’s right.”

“The kitchen leads to your meeting room?”

The kitchen is our meeting room.” He closed the door on the cold and Kayla felt a flash of panic as she turned back to face her audience.

They were holding this meeting in the kitchen?

She glanced around and saw shiny saucepans and stainless steel. Bunches of herbs hung drying above the range. Surfaces gleamed, but this was no showroom kitchen. It was lived in and loved. There were boots of various sizes lined up by the door and shelves stacked with recipe books. It was easy to imagine the three O’Neil boys rushing in from the snow, hoping to grab some freshly baked treats.

A woman hefted a large blue casserole dish into the oven and gave them a welcoming smile.

“You must be Kayla. We’ve heard so much about you. I’m Elizabeth O’Neil, Jackson’s mother. Alice and Walter, his grandparents—” she nodded her head in their direction “—and Tyler, Jackson’s brother. Jess might join us later but I’m sure you won’t mind that. Now come on in and let me take your coat.” She closed the oven door and hurried over, the smile still on her face, her arms outstretched.

Kayla took a hasty step backward, and the sharp heel of her stiletto drove hard into Jackson’s foot.

He swore under his breath and then his hands closed around her arms and he steadied her. “Do you have a license for that weapon?”

She didn’t answer. Terrified she was about to be hugged, Kayla thrust her hand out, almost winding his mother in the process. “Pleased to meet you.”

Jackson released her. “My mother is British, so you have that in common.” He smoothed over the potentially awkward beginning. “Thirty-five years ago she arrived to cook for a winter season and never left.”

“Why would I leave? I never saw anywhere more perfect than this place, and I’m sure Kayla agrees.”

Kayla was ready to agree to anything in order to get out of this Christmas grotto as fast as possible. “Absolutely. It’s stunning. Good to meet you, Mrs. O’Neil.”

“Call me Elizabeth, dear. We’re not formal.” Warm and friendly, his mother took Kayla’s coat, frowning as she hung it up. “It’s wet. Is it snowing again?”

“No. I fell.”

“You let her fall?” Elizabeth O’Neil turned reproachful eyes on her eldest son. “You didn’t hold her arm? Shame on you, Jackson.”

“It was my fault,” Kayla said stiffly. “I’m not used to walking on ice, but it won’t happen again.”

Elizabeth nodded approval. “Because next time you’ll hold his arm.”

“No.” Kayla had already promised herself she was going to keep physical contact to a minimum. “Next time I’ll be wearing better boots. I’m going to sort that out first thing tomorrow.”

Jackson’s grandmother made a sympathetic noise. “I’m not surprised you fell. It’s so icy. I’m afraid to go out in winter since I had my hip done and as for the cold—” Alice O’Neil peered at Kayla from across the table. “Are you wearing thermal underwear under that sweater? The wool looks thin. And your skirt is quite short. We don’t want you catching cold while you’re here. Jackson, you should take Kayla to buy underwear.”

Kayla felt heat rush into her cheeks. “I—” How was she supposed to respond to that? She was used to small talk that involved observations on the weather or the traffic in Manhattan. Occasionally people touched on the economy. No one ever mentioned underwear. “I’m warm, but thank you for your concern.” She shot Jackson a desperate look, feeling like a deer circled by a pack of hungry wolves. “Shall I begin my presentation?”

“Why do young girls wear so much black?” Walter O’Neil added his contribution from the far end of the table. “When I was young, black was for funerals.”

“I love color. You’d look pretty in green, Kayla.” Alice held out a ball of yarn to Kayla, who stared at it as if she were being offered a grenade.

Jackson’s brother gave a slow, wicked smile. “We’re very pleased to meet you Kayla. And I love the skirt. Don’t change anything about it, especially not the length—unless you want to make it shorter.”

“I didn’t say it wasn’t a nice skirt,” Alice said stoutly. “I said it was short and with the weather like this—”

“She’s warm, Grams. Don’t worry.” Jackson put his hand on Kayla’s back and urged her into the room. “And she looks smart in black. If people would listen for a moment, you’d discover she’s smart in other ways, too.” He pulled out a chair and offered it to Kayla, who sat gratefully.

They’d done the small talk now, so hopefully they could move on to business.

I’m giving away one signed print copy of Sleigh Bells in the Snow so leave a comment for a chance to win.

Will Jackson was a control freak and a killjoy. He had been since they were kids. He’d made it his mission to come between Emma Willoughby and her best friend—his little sister—all their lives. But why? Until the day of the accident, Emma had always thought of herself as adventurous, not dangerous…. And then her friend had almost died.

She desperately needed to apologize, to try to explain, if she could. Will had managed to keep the two apart while Tracy was in the hospital, but now that she was home in Harmony Valley, the winemaker wannabe had to understand that getting past this was the only way they could heal. And yet even if Tracy was able to, Emma wasn’t sure she could forgive herself. And Will had made it abundantly clear: he wouldn’t sleep until he’d found retribution.

A sound behind Will had him spinning on the defensive. It wasn’t unheard of—if you believed local myth—for a mountain lion to attack out here. He cocked his arm back, ready to launch his only weapon besides his signal-less iPhone—a water bottle.

But it wasn’t a mountain lion behind him. It was Emma, legs churning pedals as she rounded the turn below. She wore black bike shorts and a tight blue flowered halter top, exposing most of her lithe limbs. Emma might have pulled off the professional racer look, if not for the uneven back and forth, near-tumbling way she worked the bike, accented by her unbridled smile, and a pink helmet decorated with daffodils and ladybugs.

Laughter—warm, unbidden and unexpected—filled the air.

His, Will realized with a start, watching Emma close the gap between them.

He frowned. Put his hands on his hips. Told himself Emma hadn’t heard him laugh and waited for her and what would certainly be another argument about visiting Tracy.

Instead of stopping at his side, Emma kept going. “See you at the top.” And then she laughed. To be sure, it was a ragged, I’m-breathing-hard-kind of laugh. But she delivered it with an I’m-gonna-kick-your-butt jab at his ego.

JPEG - Rancher to the RescueDamsel in a wedding dress!

Jilted at the altar, celebrity chef Meghan Finnegan flees the scene–and the baying press–only to run straight into the muscled torso of Cash Sullivan.

The former rodeo champion knows what it’s like to have your life crumble in the spotlight, so he offers Meghan a place to lie low at his ranch.

Fresh air, no paparazzi and the brooding rancher’s lazy smile are making Meghan not want to leave her sanctuary. But she and her unborn baby can’t stay here forever…can they?

I love Romantic Comedies. New, old, it doesn’t really matter. I love to smile, laugh and get drawn in with the hope that the hero and heroine will find their happily-ever-after. I suppose that’s the reason I came up with the idea for RANCHER TO THE RESCUE. A celebrity bride on the run. A rancher with a scandalous past. Toss in the paparazzi and you’ve got the makings for some non-stop action. 😉

Which got me thinking about my favorite Rom-Com’s. So in David Letterman fashion, here’s Jennifer Faye’s Top Ten Favorite Romantic Comedies:

  1. Made of Honor
  2. Definitely, Maybe
  3. The Proposal
  4. Valentine’s Day
  5. While You Were Sleeping
  6. Notting Hill
  7. Pretty Woman
  8. Sweet Home Alabama
  9. Runaway Bride

And now for my all-time favorite romantic comedy….

  1. P.S. I Love You

Now it’s your turn…What’s your favorite rom-com?

Read an excerpt from RANCHER TO THE RESCUE:

“Meg!” Cash turned in a circle. “Meg, where are you?” At last he spotted her, on the other side of the road. She gathered up her dirty dress and rushed across the road. “What in the world were you doing?”

“I thought if any passing vehicles had taken notice of you dropping a bride off on the side of the road, it might be wiser if I moved to another location.”

It seemed as though her nerves had settled and left her making reasonable decisions. “Good thinking. Sorry it took me a bit to get back here. Picking up my grandmother took me longer than I anticipated—”

“Cash, who are you talking to?” Gram hollered from inside the truck.

“Don’t worry,” he said, “that’s my grandmother. Your number-one fan.”

“Really? She watches my show?”

“Don’t sound so surprised. From what Gram says, you’ve gained quite a loyal following.”

“I suppose I have. That’s why the network’s considering taking the show national.”

So she was a rising television star. Maybe Harold hadn’t been up for sharing the spotlight? Cash liked the idea of Meg being more successful and popular than a man who played up the part of an injured party to gain public sympathy.

“Cash, do you hear me?” Gram yelled, her voice growing irritated.

“We’d better not keep her waiting,” he said. “If she gets it in her mind to climb out of that truck without assistance I’m afraid she’ll get hurt.”

Meg walked beside him. “Your truck could use a stepladder to get into.”

“When I bought it my intent was to haul a horse trailer, not to have beautiful women using it as a taxi service.”

He noticed how splotches of pink bloomed in her cheeks. He found he enjoyed making her blush. Obviously Harold, the stuffed shirt, hadn’t bothered to lather her with compliments. No wonder she’d left him.

“Before I forget, here’s your phone.” She placed it in his outstretched hand. “I hope you don’t mind but I called my family.”

“No problem.” He knew if she were his sister or daughter he’d be worried. Turning his attention to his grandmother, he said, “Meg, this is my grandmother—Martha Sullivan. Gram, this is—”

“The Jiffy Cook,” Gram interjected. Her thin lips pursed together. Behind her wire-rimmed glasses her gaze darted between him and Meg. “You stole the bride. Cash, how could you?”

About the author:

Jennifer - Author PhotoJennifer Faye has spent most of her life with her nose in one book or another. It was only natural that she dreamed of becoming a romance writer and spinning the tales of the imaginary people running around in her mind. But first life took her on a couple of detours. Refusing to give up on her dreams, she finally succeeded in getting her name on a book cover. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her very, very patient husband, one amazing daughter (the other remarkable daughter has flown the coop to chase her own dreams) and two spoiled rotten cats. When she’s not glued to her laptop writing another contemporary romance (which isn’t often) or enjoying some family time, she loves to get lost in a good book, cross-stitch, embroider, quilt, knit, watch hockey (go Pittsburgh Penguins!), and garden.
