Beauty is more than skin-deep…

Tattoo artist Raven Smith is blunt and hard, broken and jaded, dark and beautiful. While she doesn’t hide her painful past, she does keep a wall around her heart. She’s free sexually—but no one gets to the real Raven beneath the prickly exterior.

With a voice like smoke, Jonah Warner is a smooth-talking, highly successful attorney, with a body that should never be hidden by a suit. He’s the kind of man who never takes no for an answer and always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Raven. She’s a survivor, and he finds that incredibly alluring.

Jonah gets under her skin in a way Raven has never experienced. He makes her break all her rules—including her no-monogamy rule.

But when a figure from Raven’s past shows up at the tattoo parlor and drops a bomb into her life, their relationship will face the ultimate challenge…

lush-final-220x330Mary Whaley has her hands full running a successful catering company and overseeing her supper club. She’s got everything she ever wanted—or so she thought. When she meets ridiculously hot and very dirty rock star Damien Hurley at her friend’s engagement party, the attraction she feels is overpowering—and she isn’t about to deny herself.

Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were all in high school—then they hit the big time and stayed there. He’s also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good.

What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon get much more complicated. Damien can’t figure out why Mary doesn’t want more from him. And before long it’s Damien who wants more of Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to the celebrity news and he’s got a very big job ahead of him—proving that he’s worth more than a one-night stand…

Yeah, so rock stars. I love em. I love music. Can’t imagine the world without it. I listen to music pretty much all day long when I work and each one of my books has a tracklist I build as I write – from the beginning as I’m sketching out the world and characters all the way through to edits and revisions.

So it wasn’t really a stretch for me to write about musicians.

I wrote my Brown Family series set here in Seattle, centered on a family of musicians and it spun off into my Delicious books and those too, are about artists, only of all sorts. Jules the goddess of pastry, Daisy the artist and the dancer and Mary, the chef.

They’re all drawn to create. Mary with the works of art she puts on a plate also uses good to take care of her family and friends. It’s the way she connects and nurtures as well as the way she expresses herself.

And this sort of normal woman from a small bedroom community west of Seattle in the Puget Sound, meets a rather extraordinary man from a small town in Oregon who is in a rock and roll band with his brothers and sparks fly.

But this extraordinary rockstar drummer is rather normal in all the ways that count. He loves his family. He lives on the ranch with the rest of his brothers. He helps out when he’s home. He’s connected to the land and the people he loves.

And he sees our sort of normal chef and he understands her art. Through his eyes she is extraordinary too. And isn’t that something beautiful?

But it’s also scary. And he’s got a past. A not so long ago past that she’s got to get around to see that the Damien of the present, the Damien who loves her has been changed by that and that Damien is not the drunken man-whore in the celebrity news, but the guy who shows up with presents like special file mixes and exotic salts and spices.

So LUSH is a story about two extraordinary people who at heart are actually sort of normal, but through one another’s eyes are extraordinary once again.

I hope you all enjoy Mary and Damien and all their friends and family (including a former attack pig named Violet who is reformed).

It has been a fantastic day for cover reveals in romanceland 😀 First, Thea Harrison revealed her cover for KINKED, #6 in the Elder Races series, at the RT Book Reviews blog. This one is Aryal the harpy’s book and I LOVE that she really looks like she can kick some ass and isn’t in some weird uncomfortable looking pseudo-sexy pose while wearing heels and a mini skirt. I think Berkley did a great job in capturing the attitude of the character whose book I am looking so forward to.

Two opponents must confront the cause of their obsessive fury in the latest Novel of the Elder Races…

As a harpy, Sentinel Aryal is accustomed to dealing with hate, but Sentinel Quentin Caeravorn manages to inspire in her a burning ire unlike anything she’s ever known. Aryal believes the new Sentinel to be a criminal, and vows to take him out as soon as the opportunity arises. But the harpy’s incessant wrath has pushed Quentin to the limit, and forces him to make a deadly vow of his own.

To put an end to the conflict, Dragos, Lord of the Wyr, sends them on a reconnaissance mission to the Elven land of Numenlaur. Forced to work together, Aryal and Quentin’s mutual antagonism escalates. Each fight draws forth more passion—culminating in an explosively sexual confrontation. But when their quest reveals real danger, Aryal and Quentin must resolve their differences in ways beyond the physical, before the entire Wyr is threatened.

SWAY

Levi Warner is an established, older man—wealthy, powerful, and above all, respectable. Then Levi meets Daisy, an uninhibited 24-year-old dance instructor and artist, not exactly the kind of woman Levi is accustomed to. But the young, free spirit, brings out something in him he only experienced in fantasies. When their scorching affair turns into something unexpectedly deeper, Levi finds himself torn between preserving his reputation, and exploring a wilder and much more satisfying kind of life.

So I wrote this series of books. People seemed to really like them. And then it was time to move on. Not because I didn’t care about my Brown Siblings books anymore, but because there were other stories that I wanted to tell.

But I have been working around the edges of writing family type saga for a while and I decided to jump in with both feet this time and write saga style over more than just one series.

The Delicious series is a spin off of The Brown Siblings books. Each one – SWAY, TART and LUSH will feature characters you met in the last Brown Siblings book, NEVER ENOUGH.

Over the course of these books you’ll get to know the group of friends that call themselves Delicious. Gillian Forrester’s best friends, Daisy, Jules and Mary and through them, you’ll meet their men.  But at the same time, you’ll be reading about Gillian and Adrian’s engagement party and wedding, you’ll see Erin and her men, Brody and Elise and their baby girl, Martine. You’ll see Gillian, of course as she’s part of Delicious and because of her, you’ll also see Adrian and Miles.

I wanted this spin off to be a companion to the Brown Siblings so you had that sense of homecoming with the characters you already loved and got to know new ones too. It enabled me to also write the characters I’ve come to love as well!

Sway is out today in the CHERISHED duology with me and Maya Banks. It’s the first book in the new series and features Daisy – artist, dancer, friend, daughter and lover. She meets a man she can’t resist, Levi Warner, and he does his share of not being able to resist her. They challenge each other and through all the highs and lows, it’s Daisy’s family of her heart who get her through.

I hope you all enjoy this new leg of the journey I started with Laid Bare and my Brown Siblings books and I hope you enjoy reading about Levi and Daisy as much as I enjoyed writing them.

And another one! This one comes out in September and goes with LAID BARE.

From Lauren’s blog —

This is a digital only novella that’ll be out in September!

All she needed to pack was a few bikinis, a toothbrush and some sunscreen. This is what Ben told Erin when he presented her and Todd with tickets to Fiji and the promise of ten days of nothing but sleeping until whenever they wanted, sex without having to lock the door and lots of alone time.

And that’s what they have. Long days and nights filled with pleasure. Long enough that the stress and exhaustion drops away and the three can simply enjoy each other.

They’ve got heat. More than ever before. Recharging their batteries has also brought new levels of intimacy and connection. But when Erin stumbles over the pain of her past, both men band together to not only help her through, but to help each other as well.

Just an FYI — this giveaway is only for Kindle copies, there will be NO print copies of this book.

Gillian Forrester spent most of her life running from who and what she came from. Until Miles came along. From the moment she held the tiny newborn her older sister didn’t want, Gillian stopped running and began to build a life for herself and her adopted son. Now, thirteen years later, as Gillian’s sister lay dying, she reveals the father’s identity and makes Gillian promise to find him.

Adrian Brown is the epitome of the successful rock star. He’s seen and done it all, with few regrets. It takes a lot to shock him—but the bombshell that he has a thirteen-year-old son rocks his world. And Adrian is even more surprised when the buttoned-up, elegant woman who’s raising Miles snags his erotic and romantic attention.

The last thing Gillian expected was to find herself getting hot and heavy with a person like Adrian. But as much as she wants to open up and give herself fully to this amazing man, she’s afraid the secrets of her past and Adrian’s problems with trusting people may keep them apart for good. If love isn’t enough can they find the trust they need?
