Behind Palace Doors

When Prince Stefan Alexander learns that he must be married to become king and save his beloved country from being returned to Greece, he knows the solution is the most important woman in his life, his best friend Victoria Dane. They’ve been friends since they were teens and while there has always been an attraction, neither have commented or acted on it because their friendship is too important to risk. Now Stefan needs Victoria and Victoria would never let him down.

Soon, the marriage as friends only turns into a marriage of friends with benefits and pesky emotions become involved. Stefan never wants to fall in love and the last thing he wants is Victoria to love him. He thinks he’ll never be able to return that love and will lose her.

Victoria was too important to him to risk their bond on something as questionable as love.

When Stefan takes Victoria’s trust for granted, he stands to lose it all and must reevaluate his life, his stance on love, and if he can be what Victoria needs.

Stefan was such a drool-worthy hero. The tattoos, the playboy persona, and his loyalty to Victoria were just flat-out hot. Victoria’s strength and vulnerability had me invested in her happily ever after from the beginning. Seeing them build their relationship from a solid foundation of true friendship made the story believable and sigh-inducing. BEHIND PALACE DOORS also has a grand-gesture-for-love scene that was perfect for this fairytale-esqe romance.

It was so much fun! I can easily see this becoming a comfort read for when I need a pick me up.
