O.K., first I LOVE a man in a kilt, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Second I love Maya banks, I have had her Highlander seroes on my Amazon Wish list since before there was cover art for them. I randomly put her name in the search engine to see what may be new and upcoming. Her Colter’s series is one of my Favs!! and I have started to collect her “Kelly/KGI Series” and I am not so patienly awaiting for her other new seires “The Pregnancy and Passion”. Fingers Crossed that I win.

I like all that was mentioned. The one’s who I like the most are the dark, tortured alphas. I am so looking forward to reading Maya’s Highlanders series.

Favorite type of hero is blonde, big, and when he talks(which isn’t a lot) it usually has about 50 pounds of snark and attitude attached. He also loves animals, has a hidden mushy side, and he can most definitely rock a kilt or in Maya’s case trews.*snort* Thanks for the giveaway.

I like a strong alpha male type of man. One that is in charge, but not to stubborn to give in every once in awhile. I like someone that takes control of the situation and likes to take the lead. I like the dark and tortured, but not too tortured. I don’t want them messed up about stuff.

My kind of hero is the proverbial tall, dark, with just a bit of dangerous. I want him to be strong, but not at the expense of brain cells. I want him to be loyal and helpful, but not a doormat. An accent would make him even more perfect, preferably Scottish or Irish.

I am all about the alpha male in these kinds of books. All power and brooding but a heart of gold when it comes to the woman in his life. Sexy as all get out doesn’t hurt though. lol

I love a strong protective guy myself. There’s something about a man that is dark and dangerous but underneath there’s a good heart. I think that’s why I love shifter books so much cause they are often fiercely protective!

When I think of my dream guy, I think of strong and dominant. Silent because they are being observant of any situation and dealing accordingly and someone who is a caring father that will be there for their children. A man who would take quirky in his woman and embrace it.

My type of hero — strong with a dangerous side, a sense of humor (dry or otherwise), and a soft spot for kids, animals and the heroine.
A hero who accepts the heroine as she is — strengths, weaknesses and all. A hero who knows how to give and take with the heroine but also knows when it is time to step and become protective when needed.
Love the KGI series and have really been looking forward to the start of this series — I actually read more historicals than contemporaries and the thought of Maya Banks writing historicals — WOO HOO!!!

My favorite hero is one that is redeemed. For some reason, I love reading a series of books where one of the characters is someone you love to hate but then, they become redeemed and turn out to be the hottest, most loyal, strong, loving character in the series…… They make it so worth while!!

My favorite type of hero knows his true love when he sees her and while a little or a lot over-protective (alpha don’t ya know) will admit when he’s goofed up and never stop trying to reach that HEA with her despite the “baggage”. Ok so HOT is great, too. LOL

Sorry….So excited yesterday, I did not get to finish my comment.(at work) My favorite kind of hero is, strong of conviction, strong of mind and strong of heart. When he loves, he loves completely. He has some scars, internal and possibly external as well. He is loyal to his family wether by blood or by heart. He his rough and tough, but is extraordinary tender when it comes to the poeple he loves. And he knows how to kick ass and take names while doing it.

I love my heros to be dark and dangerous but I also want a little vulnerability in there as well! I love a surprise once in a while two whether it’s a remark that’s humorous or some quirk like having a soft heart for an injuried animal or a child that’s sad. To me seeing that “soft” side of a strong hero is always fun to read.

I love all kinds of heroes but my favorite has to be the hero who is an Alpha in all things but the heroine manages to totally throw him for a loop and he has to rethink all of his previously held convictions where women are concerned. Maya excels at writing this kind of hero, in my opinion. Thanks for doing this. 🙂
