Having worked in the corporate world (Walt Disney World, 15 years) I know a thing or two about offices and office romances. It is absolutely hands-down my favorite source of conflict and that is where I started with this book. Though in SEDUCING THE OPPOSITION, Selena and Justin don’t work together in the strictest sense, they are adversaries as Justin represents the Luna Azul Company and wants to buy-out Selena’s grandfather’s grocery store.
They both have their reasons for wanting to win. Their families play a key role this desire to prove themselves. This is something that resonates with me because my family is so much a part of my life.
As a girl growing up my family lived out in the country where we had our orange grove and at one time a chicken ranch! My sisters and I were forced by isolation to depend on each other for friendship and that created a deep bond between us which still lasts today even though we live on opposite coasts.

I dont have alot of family,, one sister that lives nearby and thats it.. So I try and see them often spend time with my niece and nephew ! My daughter and I are very close she lives away from home but we coffee date often and spend alot of time together:) My younger kids are still athome !! ;0

No, even though only my mother and sister are left in my family, they choose not to be close to my family. My mother has alot of mental health problems that my sister refuses to acknowledge. I would like to be close, but it just won’t happen.

I have a large, close extended family. They were great for a kid, to have all that love from all these different relatives, but it can be a bit much as a grownup. When I read romances set in small towns, I know how the characters feel because of my experience with my family, even though I grew up in a city.

Growing up, my parents fought like crazy and my sister and I constantly relied on one another for support to get through the hard times. Unfortunately, we do not live near each other, but I know if I need her I can always pick up the phone.
