Natasha Bellingham has a plan. She wants to start a family but her past experiences have taught her that she can’t depend on anyone but herself. After a lot of soul-searching, she has decided on artificial insemination.

She didn’t count on Maxwell Turner. When Tasha has to much to drink and spills her plan to Maxwell, he sees his chance. He’s been in love with Tasha for half his life but she has only seen him as her best friend’s younger cousin. He now has something to offer. He can give her the baby she wants, plus everything she’s never had. A large extended family, companionship, financial security. Love. It doesn’t matter that Tasha doesn’t want love to be a part of their deal, he can work around that.

I enjoyed every aspect of this book. The chemistry was off the charts from the very beginning. Tasha is smart, tough, snarky, logical, and a little wounded but she’s willing to take risks. Maxwell is damn close to being the perfect hero. Intelligent, loving, committed to his family, apologizes when he’s wrong, and he’s a geek! And then there is my favorite quote from the book.

Max smoothed his hand down her back, rubbing and caressing. It was the most frighting thing to hold his heart in his arms like that.

Yup. I melted. This is one of those feel-good books that I know I’ll be going back to time and again. This is book 2 in the Turner Twins series but it actually takes place before TURN IT ON, so it can be read as a stand alone.
