New books!

Just a quick heads-up, Chey couldn’t be here today because she’s in the middle of moving. I remember all the hassle and headache that goes along with moving so I’m going to reschedule with her later when she’s settled and has time to visit with us.

In the meantime, I went book shopping today. Didn’t think I’d find anything since the truck usually gets there late in the evening at BAM and although it hadn’t made it’s delivery when I went earlier today, I was able to pick up some books.

I picked up RANSOM MY HEART by Meg Cabot for my sixteen year old daughter. She loves Meg’s Princess series and this one is “written” by Mia herself so I know she’ll enjoy it.

Got BONE CROSSED by Patricia Briggs for my younger sister. I sent this series to her last year and she’s been nagging me for the next book in the series every time we talk on the phone and get to the subject of books. I didn’t realize it was coming out in hardcover until I saw it on the New Releases stand in BAM.

Then for me, I got:

THE FIRST SIN by Cheyenne McCray

DREAM WARRIOR by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I also got an ARC in the mail for my Book Club, DARING TIME by Beth Kery.

I’ve been battling a headache off and on most of the day so instead of being online, I’ve been curled up in bed either watching TV (trying to catch up on my DVR’d shows…watched 4 episodes of American Idol and that one chick, Rose? Creeped me out with how nasty looking the bottom of her feet were because she walked everywhere barefoot *shudder*) and napping off and on. Haven’t taken anything for it because it usually just goes away but it’s still lurking around and I think I’m going to take some Motrin and hopefully see the end of it. If the headache isn’t bad enough, my washer gave out on me. It goes through all the steps except for one. The Spin cycle. So when the load is done, the clothes are still soaking wet and I have to wring them out before I’m able to put them in the dryer. Having a non-working washer in a house with kids? Soo not fun. The laundry seems to breed when it’s just sitting in the basket or on the floor and now I have to wait until Friday before someone can come out and look at it to see what is going on. I think I’ve rambled enough. 🙂

Be sure to check back tomorrow. I’ve got Denise Lynn as my guest and she surprised me by sending me ten copies of her Nocturne, DRAGON’S LAIR, so there will be lots of winners from her post. 🙂
