My debut release from Firedrakes Weyr Publishing, Melody of Love, was a lot of fun to write.  I consider music an important part of my life.  And it’s not uncommon in my household for someone to break into song at any given moment, whether human or one of our three cats.  Music is very important to my writing, as well.  Whenever I write, I can usually be found with my headphones on.  I have had more ideas from listening to music than any other source.  I love all kinds of music.  It merely depends on what kind of mood I’m in at the time.

The characters for the book came through listening to a certain band I was crazy about at the time.  I wondered what if I could one day meet my favorite singer, and what would happen if he fell in love with me.  The story brewed in my head for a couple of months until I wrote out the outline, which was the first one I had ever done.  The book itself came out in a steady flow in one month.

Here is the blurb for Melody of Love:

Kathryn Walker’s life is great, except for one area, love.  Still reeling from the disappointment of a past relationship, her world is sent spinning when danger encroaches on her simple life.

Alex Brown is a rock star dealing with betrayal, but once he meets Kathryn…  His sights are set.

Could love be enough to sustain them through the hardship ahead?
